At Kinetikos, the mission is simple; help people to achieve optimal functioning through exercise. Whether your goal is injury prevention or recovery, general fitness, promoting positive mental health, enhancing performance or a combination of each, the targeted exercise prescription and guidance at Kinetikos will help you to reach your potential.  Like any journey, the process determines the outcome and it's this emphasis on process that ultimately leads to success.   Here at Kinetikos, we follow a 3-stage progression system to get you to your goal in the most effective way possible. 

 

Stage 1: BASE 

Identify any physical dysfunction that cases pain, limits progress, and hinders performance. 

 

Apply corrective exercises to re-establish proper mobility, static stability and the fundamental motor patterning that makes up the foundation of pain-free, efficient movement.

Build the strength, power, and endurance to prevent future injury, optimize functionality and enhance performance.

With a bachelor's degree from the University of Ottawa, Nathan has been practicing as a Registered Kinesiologist in the clinical & fitness settings for over 14 years.  Specializing in injury prevention, exercise rehab and strength & conditioning, he has assisted hundreds of people in recovering from injury, managing chronic physical conditions and achieving their physical goals.   

 

First, Nathan will assess your movement patterns to identify any dysfunctions or asymmetries that may be causing pain and compromising your functioning. 

From there he will prescribe an exercise program to address your specific needs and go through it with you to ensure proper performance.  Once you start to build momentum, Nathan will follow up with you to monitor your progress and adapt your program appropriately to keep you on a steady pace towards accomplishing your goals.
